How to Write IMEI Using Read & Write Tool

INFORMATION: Today we have shared the step by step tutorial to use Read & write a tool which works with multiple android chipset devices like Qualcomm, MediaTek, and SPD.
NOTE: Changing IMEI is illegal you may get in trouble if you do so.

Things you will need:

A Windows PC
Your device should have a battery backup of more than 50% will be good enough.
Download and Installed USB drivers on your computer.

Flash or Write IMEI Using Read & Write Tool

Step 1: Download Read & write a tool and extract the ZIP file on your computer. After extracting you will see following files (as pictured below)

Step 2: Open WRTool.exe.

Step 3: After launching the tool you will be able to see the screen like as shown below in the picture:

Step 4: Click on file > config.

Step 5: Under config settings, you will see many options for IMEI operations; first we have to select our device chipset in this tutorial I am selecting MediaTek chipset because my device is base on MediaTek chipset. You can select the chipset according to your device chipset.

Step 6: Under ComPort select USB.

Step 7: Now this is important. Under Datafileconfig you will see two Tabs BP and AP you have to add database files which comes with your device firmware you have to download your device firmware in order to select the database and it is only for MTK chipset devices you do not need to pick it for Qualcomm and Spreadtrum chipset based devices.

Step 8: Now, browse the folder where you have extracted your device firmware and select database files.

Step 9: Now, if you have single sim device select only IMEI 1 and if you have dual sim device then select both IMEI1 and IMEI2. I am selecting both as my device is a dual sim phone. Uncheck all other boxes as shown below in the picture, and click on OK.

Step 10: Write the IMEI in IMEI 1 And IMEI 2. if you do not know the IMEI check the back sticker of your phone where you will find the IMEI number of your device. And click on Write to start the IMEI writing process.

Step 11: Now connect your MTK device to the computer while holding vol up + power button and follow on-screen instruction. It will take around 1 minute to complete the process.
